After becoming interested in Fredrick Douglass' narrative I also became interested in what kind of life his children had. After researching about his kids I became interested with his only daughter. I was intrigued by the fact that Rosetta Douglass at the age of nine was refused to attend an all white girls' school. Fredrick Douglass fought with words to get his daughter in that school. When Rosetta was finally admitted, it was not how she expected it to be. She had to study in a room all by herself and she was kept apart from the other kids at recess.

To find this information out I typed in Frederick Douglass' children in the search engine. I retrieved information on all of his kids. However, Rosetta interested me the most. I decided to do my research on her because I felt like her incident made Frederick Douglass and his daughter stronger.
